The SSIF participated in Jordanian-Azerbaijan Economic and Investment Forum which was organized by the Jordanian Businessmen Association and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency in Azerbaijan that was attended by many representatives of private sector companies from both countries.
The projects finance and tourism portfolio manager at SSIF, Sameer Shahrour, reviewed the Fund's key investments and projects which are distributed over most of the vital economic sector;mainly banks, mining, pharmaceuticals, health, tourism, agriculture and development areas.
He pointed out that SSIF participation in such forums proves SSIF’s excellence throughout 19 years since its inception. This success story is reflected by the Fund’s size that constitute around 35% of Jordan GDP and its ability to continue to achieving feasible returns.
Shahrour affirmed that SSIF‘s participation also enhances investors confidence in Jordanian economy as SSIF plays the financial investor role that aims to invest in long term projects in partnership with potential investors that have the technical expertise and track record.

The portfolio consists of money market instruments with maturity dates that do not exceed one year, such as deposits, treasury bills, repurchase agreements, certificates of deposit and current accounts.
The Fund invests in medium and long term loans through direct lending to the Jordanian Government and its public institutions, and also by participating in syndicated loans to companies for a period that is not less than one year.
