Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF) conducted a workshop for its senior management on promoting sustainable development concepts and practices. This workshop that was held in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program in Jordan (UNPD) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), aimed at further developing SSIF's capacity for implementing the international best practices of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Environmental, Social and Governance criteria (ESG).

The portfolio consists of money market instruments with maturity dates that do not exceed one year, such as deposits, treasury bills, repurchase agreements, certificates of deposit and current accounts.
The Fund invests in medium and long term loans through direct lending to the Jordanian Government and its public institutions, and also by participating in syndicated loans to companies for a period that is not less than one year.
